Before installing
EZRecoveryCard, are there any steps to perform?
Please run Windows
Scandisk and Disk Defragmenter. And kill any existing
viruses and spyware with anti-virus and anti-spyware
softwares.
Why do I have to
run Scandisk before installing EZRecoveryCard?
Before any installation, the HDD must be checked for errors. This
is to ensure that all the original information, which
EZRecoveryCard will use for restoration, are in good
condition.
Why is it recommended to defragment the HDD before
installing EZRecoveryCard?
This is because RecoveryCard occupies the last sectors of your HDD.
If there are any files occupying these sectors, it will be
moved by defragmenting, otherwise it will be overwritten
during installation.
How does the card act when user forgets to defragment
partitions before installation? What problems does it cause?
RecoveryCard card doesn't require defragmentation before
installation, unless the hard disk had been used for long
time without defragmentation.
Which PCI expansion slot should I use?
Any free expansion slot will do.
The EZRecoveryCard menu does not appear. What should I do?
In the BIOS/CMOS settings, disable virus warning and select
NETWORK/LAN as the first boot device. For some older BIOS,
enable "option ROM".
